# From PPC Reports to an AI-Powered Seller Command Center with Nick Katz

Amazon gives sellers more data than ever, but more reports do not automatically produce better decisions.

In GFA499, Mike Michelini talks with **Nick Katz** about building a practical seller command center around the data Amazon already provides. Nick explains why advertising performance should not be judged from Campaign Manager alone, how fees and COGS change a real breakeven ACoS, and how repeat purchases can make a lifetime breakeven target look completely different from a one-sale target.

They explore how Search Query Performance data helps separate visibility problems from listing problems, why a low-AcoS branded campaign may be cannibalizing organic sales, and how inventory and sales velocity should influence ad decisions before a product runs out of stock.

Nick also shares a practical way to start without building a complex API stack: use downloadable reports or a data provider, build a small dashboard locally with an AI coding agent, compare the numbers with Seller Central, and add one useful decision at a time.

The conversation closes on the limits of automation. AI can monitor faster, combine data and surface the exception, but it can also scale a bad assumption across every campaign in seconds. The best systems save the human from hunting through dashboards while keeping judgment at the final decision point.

## What You Will Learn

- Why ACoS alone does not tell you whether an ad is profitable.
- How fees, COGS and repeat-purchase data change breakeven targets by ASIN.
- How SQP data distinguishes a visibility problem from a listing or pricing problem.
- Why sellers can start with reports or a data provider instead of a custom API pipeline.
- How to build a small local dashboard and validate it against Seller Central.
- Why most monitoring can be automated while consequential actions still need human review.
- How bespoke software may replace parts of the generic SaaS stack for experienced operators.
